In from the Cold

Igloo Cinema was part of In from the Cold, a month-long programme of performances, workshops, social dances and film screenings in and round an immersive arctic design. I was lead designer of the installation and oversaw the commissioning of a “melting” inflatable Igloo by the design company Inflate. The Igloo also became a backdrop for a special evening hosted by Cape Farewell, Lemn Sissay, Shlomo and other artists that travelled to the arctic to learn and raise awareness of global warming. In addition to this the Igloo provided a context for an interactive performance piece by artists Aaron Williamson and Katherine Araniello.
